Greg Stikeleather is an investor, advisor, producer, and serial entrepreneur with a behavioral learning sciences background. He was President and CEO of Headsprout, a venture-backed company he co-founded to make behaviorally-sound instruction available to learners via the Internet. Headsprout products have taught millions of children how to read. He was previously a managing director at a San Francisco venture capital firm. Prior to that, Stikeleather successfully led, as CEO, two venture-backed, high-tech companies: Aha! Software and Portola Communications. Both companies produced successful technology and products and were acquired by Microsoft and Netscape, respectively. Earlier, Stikeleather applied his learning science training as an instructional and user interface designer at Apple Inc, where he developed and ran its first usability testing laboratory. Stikeleather was trained in the learning sciences with a graduate degree in experimental psychology from Northeastern University and a BS in behavior analysis from Western Michigan University.
